When I ran tapeinfo I get this
[root@pentagram-new ~]# tapeinfo -f /dev/sg2 Product Type: Tape Drive Vendor ID: 'HP ' Product ID: 'Ultrium 5-SCSI ' Revision: 'Y23U' Attached Changer: No SerialNumber: 'HU1039CREY' TapeAlert[3]: Hard Error: Uncorrectable read/write error. TapeAlert[4]: Media: Media Performance Degraded, Data Is At Risk. TapeAlert[6]:Write Failure: Tape faulty or tape drive broken. TapeAlert[20]: Clean Now: The tape drive neads cleaning NOW. MinBlock:1 MaxBlock:16777215 SCSI ID: 0 SCSI LUN: 0 Ready: yes BufferedMode: yes Medium Type: Not Loaded Density Code: 0x58 BlockSize: 0 DataCompEnabled: yes DataCompCapable: yes DataDeCompEnabled: yes CompType: 0x1 DeCompType: 0x1
But when I run again the errors are gone. Why is that?
