As Graham says, the password isn't encrypted. It is randomly generated 
when you install, so it might look like your typical hashed/encrypted 
password. This password is what is used to authenticate communication 
between the console and the director. There are other passwords like it 
for communication between DIR-FD or DIR-SD.

You can change the passwords to whatever you like, as long as you change 
them in both the director configuration and the relevant console, file 
daemon or storage daemon configuration.

So for your windows console to be able to connect you'll have to make 
sure that the password setting in bconsole.conf on the windows machine 
is the same as the director password in bacula-dir.conf on your ubuntu 
machine.
