Good Morning Everyone,

I have an issue with Bacula. Here is the case. I Bacula setup on both
an Ubuntu Server machine and Solaris. The director is on Ubuntu and storage
server on Solaris. We have a LTO-180 Solaris tape library implemented. I
recently ran a label barcodes command which created volumes with the same
name as the barcodes: FCOM. This resulted in a default pool of volumes
FCOM01,.....FCOM20. I performed an update scan slots twice. I then moved
FCOM01-FCOM03 into a new pool i created: WindowsBackupServer Pool from the
default. Here are the tables:

Default Pool:

So thinking that my new pool has already volumes created and ready to go, i
executed a run statement at the bconsole. No tape were in the tape device,
thus no mounts. After executing run, i stated yes to start the job. I then
received a strange message when i did status all:

Device status:
Autochanger "Autochanger" with devices:
   "Drive-1" (/dev/rmt/4cbn)
   "Drive-2" (/dev/rmt/3cbn)
Device "Drive-1" (/dev/rmt/4cbn) is not open.
Device is BLOCKED waiting to mount a volume FCOM12
       Pool: WindowsFileServerBackup
       Media type: LTO-2
    Drive 0 status unknown.

I then loaded and unloaded the tape device from my Solaris machine and then
ran an update slots scan on Ubuntu from the bconsole.

Now the error is
Device status:
Autochanger "Autochanger" with devices:
   "Drive-1" (/dev/rmt/4cbn)
   "Drive-2" (/dev/rmt/3cbn)
Device "Drive-1" (/dev/rmt/4cbn) is not open.
Device is BLOCKED waiting to create a volume for:
       Pool: WindowsFileServerBackup
       Media type: LTO-2
    Drive 0 status unknown.

Can someone please help? I already have volumes in the in the new pool which
i transfered with the update volumes command. Bacula should see those
volumes and not be asking to label a new volume. Bacula is a nice program,
but i am starting to think due to its open source nature, it may be better
to simply spend money on NetBackup.

Thanks
Steve
