1. "Have you ever tried mounting the requested tape, or labeling a new one?"
I tried mounting it from within Webmin but it would never mount. I am not very
proficient with Bacula and I have yet to figure how to label one so that it
increments on the fly. Can you help?

2. " readlabel would be a better choice here - test overwrites the tape, i.e.
it removes the tape label, too..."

Ok...I did the readlable command....this is what it says:

tape: btape.c:422 Volume has no label.

Volume Label:
Id : **error**VerNo : 0
VolName :
PrevVolName :
VolFile : 0
LabelType : Unknown 0
LabelSize : 0
PoolName :
MediaType :
PoolType :
HostName :
Date label written: -4712-01-01 at 00:00

Does any of this help?

Thanks!

Arch

Have you ever tried mounting the requested tape, or labeling a new one?

readlabel would be a better choice here - test overwrites the tape,
i.e. it removes the tape label, too...
