Hi all,
I have a small and fun question: when Bacula promotes a scheduled job from INCR
or DIFF to FULL, when does the promotion happen? Is it at queueing or dequeuing
time?
Here is a practical case: we had a FULL backup taking far longer than expected.
So, 24 hours after the first job start, a second one started, which should have
been only an INCR backup. It was successfully queued.
When the first one completed, the second one was dequeued ... and was promoted
to FULL. I had to cancel it to avoid having another FULL backup running and
collecting another INCR in the queue.
The next job (also an INCR) completed succesfully as an INCR.
So I guess that the promotion is made at queueing time. Shouldn't it be at
dequeueing?
