[Bacula-users] saving data to disk and copying it to a tape changer
2008-04-11 05:52:07
Hello,
I am new to Bacula.
I would like to :
1 - back up data to disk volumes (easy !)
2 - extract a subset of the previously backed up data (critical data)
and to write it to tape volumes.
I want to let the data written to the tape accessible from the disk
volumes (restoring is easy and speed). The tapes are only here for
disaster recovery, like backup server destruction.
I would to minimize network data transfers and disk usage on the backup
server.
I read about Migration, but Migration deletes data from the original
Job. Data Spooling is not what I want to do too.
How could I do ?
Thanks for your help.
J-Yves
