In the backuppc documentation it is stated that you must specify you windows locale in $Conf{ClientCharset} when using rsyncd-cygwin, but that causes problems with Cyrillic filenames, when setting utf8 or leaving that setting empty everything works just fine.
Cygwin handles utf8 just fine since 1.7 so isn't that part of the documentation obsolete?
