Ubuntu, backuppc noob here, just trying to backup a drive on an XP PC to a
clean XFS drive pool on a ubuntu NAS over my LAN at home

After much umming and arrring, failing to get ssh working and deciding to run
with rsyncd, i am now stuck with the following error:

2013-09-25 12:51:27 full backup started for directory R
2013-09-25 12:51:27 Got fatal error during xfer (auth failed on module R)
2013-09-25 12:51:32 Backup aborted (auth failed on module R)

After searching here and googling I have attempted rsync -vvv sri@localhost::R
which generates:
opening tcp connection to localhost port 873
Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1)
rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer (104)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(764)
[Receiver=3.0.9]

I have checked rsync.conf and rsync.secrets which appear to be OK

relevant parts of backuppc's config.pl include:

$Conf{XferMethod} = 'rsyncd';
$Conf{RsyncShareName} = [
'R'
];
rsync user and pass set up as per rsync.secrets file

Please let me know if there's anything else to be looked at, super greatful in
advance for any advice that can be offered - i've been hacking away at this for
weeks now!
