I have the same problem. I read that you need to also change your /etc/passwd file path for the backuppc user, so I did that - however I am still not getting any statistics. I found that a cpool directory was still being built in the old path prior to that change. However I changed that path and moved the cpool to the new location and my stats are still not updating. So there must be some other missing path or something.
