Oh, I can also execute:

Which I'm pretty sure is effectively the same command, using ssh.  
Except no process is spawned on the client and without sudo, there's  
no privilege escalation.

So, it would appear that everything I can think of works as expected  
*except* backuppc's call with sender/receiver.
