Well, I never expected this...
Amanda version 2.6.1-20090227, Solaris x86 on x4500 server
running Solaris 10.
The dump of /export to amanda work area ran more quickly
than the flush of /export from work area to tape.
In this case the work area is on the local zfs partition,
which is temporary until my storage manager allocates some
space on the cheaper fiber connected drives, the tape is
an LTO 4, fiber connected.
I don't know if I really have a question...just odd as I'd
expected the flush to tape to be quicker than the actual
file dump.
Ok, question. Are there some parameters I should be tuning ?
Thanks,
Brian
