Unfortunately, my contractor resource has left, and i am not certain when
she will e available again. We have made 3 attempts to move to later
versions of Amanda over the last couple of months, and I have other
responsibilities, plus I really can't afford to leave my backup system
broken.

but, I will try my best to apply these patches, and reinstall 2.6.1, with
these patches, to help us diagnose this problem.
