Here's a question i
have created a new configuration file for a second run that will be a full
offsite run.
My requirements are
to have
a) a full run once a
week
b) a rotation of 3
weeks before re-writing to a tape in the tape list.
here are my current
parameters in amanda.conf
dumpcycle 0 weeks #
the number of days in the normal dump cycle
runspercycle
3 # the number of amdump runs in
dumpcycle days -- i believe this should be "0" too.
tapecycle 4 tapes # the number of tapes in
rotation
My question is
considering the dumpcycle is 0 would i be able to restore from a tape that is 2
weeks old?
I believe the answer
is yes becuase i dont think amanda expires data on a tape?
