We've had a Neo 4000 with 4xLTO-2 drives that's been humming along for
at least 4 years now. I don't know the earliest version of Amanda that
was used against it, but when I joined the organization, it was at
2.4-something, we upgraded it to 2.5.

As Roy says, nothing fancy, just solid hardware.

We've had great luck with equipment from Overland Storage. We've
kept a Neo-2000 library with dual LTO-3 drives busy for 3 years now
with no problems so far. Other departments here have had similar
experience with Overland equipment: not fancy, but very solid.
