Hi Users,
I'm looking for some enlightenment about amreport.
This is "amstatus" output ...
Below is a snippet from the last dump run, and I'm particularly confused
by the 'no-dumpers' entries.
The "no-dumpers" here means, that Amanda could not start an additional
dump, because all dumpers were busy :-)
Good!
"client-constrained" means that the client had already "maxdumps"
running or that all DLE's todo are on a spindle that is in use by
another backup.
I've set inparallel to 12, but I don't understand why all 12 don't get
used simultaneously or am I misunderstanding below ?
On this subject how can more than one dumper run on a client ? Surely
only one copy of tar or dump or whatever can run at a time (presuming
only one disklist entry per client)
see "maxdumps" as the dumptype parameter in amanda.conf
(and set the splindle in that case!)
