Query about message from taper: no space left on device

Hi
I am seeing these messages from AMANDA v2.5.0.
planner: Last full dump of file.foo.com:/home on tape overwritten in 1 run.
planner: Incremental of mail.foo.com:/mnt/export bumped to level 2.
planner: Incremental of mail.foo.redhat.com:/ bumped to level 3.
taper: no split_diskbuffer specified: using fallback split size of 10240kb to
buffer
file.foo.com:/home.0 in-memory
taper: tape FooDaily-042 kb 30171744 fm 2675 writing file: No space left on
device
taper: continuing file.foo.com:/home.0 on new tape from 27228160kb mark:
[writing file: No space left on device]
taper: tape FooDaily-038 kb 30137952 fm 2944 writing file: No space left on

[writing file: No space left on device]
taper: tape FooDaily-044 kb 29800416 fm 2911 [OK]
I am spanning tapes with a split size:
tape_splitsize 3 Gb
tapetype DLT7000
define tapetype DLT7000 {
comment "DEC/Quantum DLT7000 tape drive, hardware compression turned off"
length 30000 mbytes
filemark 8 kbytes
speed 5 mbytes
}
I can see that the backup has continued onto another tape but is it a
problem that taper has reached the end of the tape?
Thanks
s.
