But consider it from your logistics.  All of a sudden, in a single dump,
all the level 0's from half your old dumpcycle become due the same day.
Also, the next one or two dumpcycles are liable to have lots of unbalanced
days as amanda tries to rebalance to the new dumpcycle period.

If you can handle a massive dump that day and won't be uncomfortable with
some days with little and some with a lot of data for a while, just make
the change in a single jump.  Otherwise, perhaps you can change it in
several steps.  4->3->2 weeks or 28->24->20->16->14 days.
