Any ideas why I'm getting these messages now after I have changed the
reserve parameter (reserve 10).

planner: Incremental of xxx01:/data01 bumped to level 2.

Note: That xxx01.2 file is huge. I noticed that amanda also created a level
1 dump file.

Thanks
Nicklas

Look at the 'reserve' parameter in your amanda.conf. The default is 100,
which reserves all of your holdingdisk space for incrementals, on the theory
that if your tape fails you want to be able to continue backups for as long
as possible. If you have plenty of space. or your goals are different, you
can adjust that number down as appropriate and allow level 0s to go to
holdingdisk.
