Has there been any discussion in the past of breaking these regular
expressions out into a simple text file that amanda checks at runtime?
Something like logcheck's settup might be nice. That way each site can
configure it's own set of expressions to ignore without having to
recompile. 

Of course, I expect the answer to include "show us the code". But, I'm
somewhat new to the list so I don't know if this has been suggested
before.
