Great! I guess i'll pull the 2.4.5 tgz and roll a debian package from it.
Any incompatibilites with 2.4.4 that I should be aware of?
Since 2.4.2 amanda is designed to be compatible with different
versions. As initial handshake, the server and client exchange a
list of features that are implemented. Both then can then restrict
their requests to what the other side can accept.
If server or client does not give a feature list, then the other side
assumes a hardcoded list of features that were available in pre-2.4.2
releases, so that even older version can still interoperate.
So, in theory, there should not be a problem.
