I installed gnutar 1.13.25 which generate :
    /usr/local/bin/tar

When I configure amanda 2.4.4p2, it could not find gnutar :

./configure --with-user=amanda --with-group=sys --prefix=/myapp/am1
.......
checking for grep... /usr/bin/grep
checking for gtar... no
checking for gnutar... no
checking for tar... /usr/local/bin/tar
checking for smbclient... /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient
checking for gzip... /usr/bin/gzip
.......

My questions are:
-  when I specify dumptype with program=GNUTAR, does it use
/usr/local/bin/tar  ?
- how to make ./configure recognize gnutar ?
