Recheck that xinetd.conf-line and make sure the amandad-binary is
exactly where the file says. Also check execute-permissions on the
amandad-file (755 for amanda user or similar).
It seems xinetd does not find amandad.
Browse the group-archives, if needed, there have been xinetd.conf-examples
posted.
