And maybe not Paul. I could well be wrong but I'm guessing from the
model number that thats a QIC drive of nominally 120 megs per tape
capacity. We've got floppies bigger than that today. I also have a
shelf full of the later 525 meg version tapes as it took about 6 of
them to backup my amiga with them many years ago. I gave up on the
format because the drive kept insisting on a 2 month long vacation in
Oklahoma City every fall, ostensibly to get rebuilt.
It could also be a 1.2 Gb version, which was AFAIK, the highest
capacity built in that tape cartridge format.
amtapetype will tell the story in any event.
