hi there

I tried to do a backup with the amanda backup software. on one pc i got the
amanda server with the tape and on the other the amanda client which i
wanna backup. but i recieve a failure at the amcheck like:

ERROR: srvlnx03.xxx: [addr 172.16.20.10: hostname lookup failed]
Client check: 1 host checked in 0.022 seconds, 1 problem found

the server software is on srvlnx10.xxx and on this computer i replaced all
srvlnx10 with srvlnx03 but it does not work!

oh by the way both are linux! suse 8.0

i also inserted the line with srvlnx03 in the /etc/hosts!


what have i forgotten?
