Normally, Amanda is best compiled yourself, as explained in docs/INSTALL.
If that's too complicated or if you don't have a C-compiler
you could download an already compiled package of a (very old)
version from e.g.
ftp://ftp.sunfreeware.com/pub/freeware/sparc/2.6/amanda-2.4.1p1-sol26-sparc-local.gz
It is compatible with an amanda server running 2.4.4, and it runs on
Solaris 8 or 9 too.
