I've been running amanda 2.4.1p1 under Irix 6.5.x for several years now
with no problems. I recently upgraded to 2.4.3. Since then It's been
dumping core on me (in /tmp, which fills / unfortunately, so I don't get a
complete core). I see the AMANDA_TMPDIR and AMANDA_DBGDIR listed, but I
don't see anywhere to change those in amanda.conf. If someone else has
compiled amanda in this environment and run into this, I'd appreciate a
clue.

It appears to run fine until it runs out of tape (for some reason, it's
running out of tape on a DLT7000 dumping to 'tapedev
"/dev/rmt/tps2d7nrnsv.7000c"' (no rewind, non byte swapped, variable
block, DLT 7000, hardware compress) at around 30GB. And then it dumps
core. 2.4.1p1 got variable lengths out of that same device, with the
average being about 50GB, but when it ran out (rare occurance), it would
spool remaining dumps to holding disk and exit gracefully.

MIPSpro Compilers: Version 7.4

I set cc to compile for n32, mips3, R4000 as the client runs on Indys,
Indigo2s, and O2s as well as R10000/12000/14000 64bit clean systems (The
build host (wraith) is the exact same version of Irix and MIPSpro with the
same compiler.defaults).

I still have 2.4.1p1 on the system in /usr/local/amanda-2.4.1p1, and I can
revert, but I'd rather use a more current version. I like some of the
newer options (auto flush is nice), and would like to keep using them.
