Hi
Both computers are on the private network. 192.168.1.100 is the amanda
server and 192.168.1.47 is the client.
$amcheck DailySet1
gave this error

Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
--------------------------------
ERROR: 192.168.1.47: [addr 192.168.1.100: hostname lookup failed]
Client check: 1 host checked in 0.031 seconds, 1 problem found

I tried to add "192.168.1.47    client" to the /etc/hosts file and got the
similar error message. Both machines are using redhat8.0 amd amanda 2.4.3.
