Thanks all

It's working now. Had to compile 'sst' from the contrib dir, configure sst.conf
and 'add_drv'. It's now at
/devices/pci@1f,0/pci@1/scsi@2,1/sst@4,1:character.

I just wonder whether this is the best (stable) solution?
