Basic amrestore usage question
2003-01-27 12:59:21
Since I'm having trouble with my tool of choice (amrecover) today (see my
previous mails on this(, I'm trying to simply get a backup set off of a
Amanda tape using amrestore (which I have never used before).
I see the set I want going by in amverify, and amrestore. In amrestore it's
listed as set 35 (phse7._vg00_lvol_19.20021219.0). I've tried:
amrestore /dev/nst0 phse7 _dev_vg00_lvol19
amrestore /dev/nst0 _dev_vg00_lvol19 phse7
amrestore /dev/nst0 /dev/vg00/lvol19 phse7
amrestore /dev/nst0 phse7 /dev/vg00/lvol19
And every time, it just goes on by the set I want without recovering it
from the tape.
What stupid newbie mistake am I making?
