John, if you check bugtraq, a new, very virilent worm is about on 
the internet, taking control of MS SQL Server 2000 machines since 
about 3am this morning.  Doing its damage thru udp port 1434, its 
data flood is causeing routers all over the world to upchuck.  If 
you have any of those, get that port blocked at the firewall asap.

Actually, that would seem to be good advice of anybody running that 
software.  I don't know if there is a patchfix from MS yet or not.  
I think I saw it mentioned in one bugtraq message, but I wasn't 
awake at the time I read it, sorry.
