Hi Robert,

That's not the way you get vault tape back from the vault.
DR will put vault tapes in vault retrieve for you, you don't have to do
that by yourself, it's will adhere to this setting (
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEQVQ_8.1.3/srv.reference/r_cmd_drmdbbackupexpiredays_set.html
).
So if you set that to 3 (I think the minimum value) the system will put the
dbs you have offsite in vaultretrieve after that time, then you can place
it in courierretrieve or go straight to onsiteretrieve.

Make sure you align the value above with the reuse delay of the copypool(s)
you manage with drm.
