Pop-quiz for you Linux folks out there - how much damage does this command
do:

chown -R <someuser> /

So to ask the question in the subject of this post,

Can TSM restore JUST the file attributes/permissions/ownership, after
fixing TSM of course?

Or your thoughts on how to undo the damage.  My Linux guy says you can use
RPM to reset "a large number of file attributes" for packages it installed,
to the original install value, but that doesn't fix it all!
