After spending lots of time working with Andy from IBM and getting some
special tools from him to check our system for needed updates and patches
and stuff, we have decided to simply forgo system state backups on this
2008 server.

Due to the vendors application on this system, we can't upgrade to 2008 r2
so this is the simplest solution. We have never used system state backups
to recover a machine anyway so it's simply a waste of space and time.
