Hello Hans,

For the DISKCACHEMETHOD backups, I would not expect the client to require
substantial amounts of memory. If the client is using 1.3 GB of RAM, that
makes me wonder if DISKCACHEMETHOD is really in effect for all the file
systems. For large numbers of files, you do need a lot of disk space,
upward of 5 GB of disk space per million files.

If the problem persists, you should open a PMR with support so that we can
get to the bottom of this.
