Yes, the client can back up a mounted drive from a NAS, do it at multiple
customers with different type NAS devices.

The ANS5174E is not about read/write permissions; it usually means the account
has to be a member of the Administrator or Backup Operator's group.
See the "Getting started" section of the TSM 5.5. Windows client manual, it
explains which Windows privileges are required on the account; get your system
admin to try it using an account that is a member of the Backup Operator's
group as a test, if you don't have such an account.

You also must have access to the root of the drive, not just the files; and the
TSM scheduler must run under a domain account, not just the default "system"
account, because that account does not have network login rights.

Hi,

me too, me too ;-)

I've seen this message, it's a problem for me too, but unfortunately I've not
yet found a solution.

I've set 'skipntpermissions' and made the message go away, but I'm quite sure
that this is not a final solution.
