You prevent reservation conflicts by having ONE host managing the access.
So in TSM terms thats a library manager.
"reserve_6" is now the default reservation type on AIX, and no atm I don't
know what the difference is.

What is the difference between "reserve_6" and "persistent" reservation

types for tapes? How to prevent reservation conflict when more than one
AIX

host share a SAN-attached tape drive/library?

# lsattr -Rl rmt0 -a reserve_type

reserve_6

persistent
