Hi Wanda,

RC=4353 means basic VSS initialization errors.
Verify your VSS setup and configuration first by executing
the "DISKSHADOW Prereq Test":

   http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21403456

This takes TSM out of the picture to make sure your
Exchange Server (VSS Writer) and disk system (VSS Provider)
are working correctly to perform VSS snapshots.
