Yes, you still need to define the client scheduler service but it is started
and stopped as required by the CAD.

So typically you'll have three items

dsmcutil inst /name:"TSM Client Scheduler" /node:NODE1 /password:NODE1PSWD
/autostart:no /startnow:no /schedlog:"C:\Program
Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient\dsmsched.log" /errorlog:"C:\Program
Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient\dsmerror.log"

dsmcutil inst CAD /name:"TSM Client Acceptor" /cadschedname:"TSM Client
Scheduler" /node:NODE1 /password: NODE1PSWD /autostart:yes

dsmcutil inst remoteagent /name:"TSM Remote Client Agent" /node:NODE1
/password: NODE1PSWD /partnername:"TSM Client Acceptor"

Remote client agent is your web client interface... if that is set up just
point a web browser at that client at port 1581 to connect.

Hello,

I was reading the TSM guide to install and configure Windows client. I hope
someone can help me to clarify something.

After I configure Webclient and Client Acceptor Service using Manageservices
scheduler webclient, do I still need to install and configure the TSM
scheduler? I have an impression I don't have to. Or do I still need to
continue to install and configure the client scheduler service?

Also I also saw there is a part to install Remote Client Agent after
configuring the Client Acceptor service. What is this Remote Client Agent
for?

I am a newbie, so hope someone can clarify>

Thanks
