Mario -

The Postschedulecmd is the ideal place to examine the schedule log for issues 
and statistics, and to send email about findings.  I use it for generating an 
analysis of the schedule log, which I then append to that log for historic 
reference in our archives.  It's easy to write some Perl to parse the log for 
specific content.
