Re: [ADSM-L] Looking for Examples of Nmon output from TSM V6x system

It's running right now with this syntax ; nmon -fT -s 15 -c 240 on a SLES10SP3
64bit 16GB TSM 6.2.1.0 server with ~100 clients (as stated below)
It's a server running a filepool and a copypool on LTO4 with serverside dedupe
on a very low reclaim setting so expect a lot of disk activity.
The system has a DS3400 connected with SAS disks for the FILEPOOL and a TS3200
with two LTO4 drives just to create to COPYPOOL volumes (don't ask).
I will post the results after the weekend.

Hi all
This would be great I agree. If someone could post the result to the
board, it would be greatly appreciated.

Dave, are you still looking for this info because I think I can get this
info from a SLES 10 site running 6.2.1.0 and ~100 clients.

system
I'm looking for some examples of nmon output from customers
using
TSM V6.x on an AIX or Linux platform. I would prefer if the output was
from
an production TSM V6 system having lots of activity. This is for a
presentation I'm developing on the Sizing, Monitoring, and Performance
of
the TSM V6 Recovery Log and DB.
The parms I use for nmon are pretty much the standard ones. An
example would be:
nmon -fT -s 15 -c 240
This captures information at 15 second intervals for a 24 hour period
and
also tracks top processes. It creates a file (if you're familiar with
nmon, then you already know this) named <hostname>_date_time.nmon in
the
directory you point it to.
Let me know if you can help. If you prefer, you can reply to the email
address below rather than the ADSM listserv. This presentation is
planned
for later this summer if I can get everything gathered for it. Thanks.
