Gary,
It is a screen rendering issue. If you look at it rendered correctly,
it does say SQL Server 2000. The "4" is a foot note...
... which reads like this:

using SQL Server 2000 with Data Protection for SQL 5.5.0:
* Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 (or later)
