Maybe I am wrong, but you have to upgrade TSM Client to 6.1.3.0 for TDP for
Mail 6.1.1.0 under Windows 2008. It is much better than 6.1.0.0.

Subject: [ADSM-L] TSM for Mail using VSS

Hi *SMers
I'm trying to install TSM for Mail 6.1.1 on a Microsoft Exchange 2007 MSCS CCR
environment.
Before I start here is my information.

TSM Server 6.1.2.1 on a RHEL 5.3 64_86
TSM BA Client 6.1.0.0
TSM for Mail 6.1.1.0
Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64
Exchange Server 2007 SP2

This is all my nodes
Q NODE:
MSEXCH01 <-- BA Client Node
MSEXCH02 <-- BA Client Node
MSEXCH01_VSS <-- DSMAgent Local Node
MSEXCH02_VSS <-- DSMAgen Local Node
MSEXCLU01 <-- TDP Cluster Node
MSEXCLU01 <-- Offload Cluster Node

Q PROXY:
TARGET = MSEXCLU01
AGENT = MSEXCH01_VSS and MSEXCH02_VSS

TARGET = MSEXCLU01_OFFLOAD
AGENT = MSEXCH01_VSS and MSEXCH02_VSS

I have run DSMC -OPTFILE=msexch01_vss.opt and can confirm the password.
Same thing on MSEXCH01

I have a CAD Services on Cluster Node 1 (MSEXCH01) and can start the CAD
Services manually to just verify 1 node can backup the Exchange cluster.

When I start TSM for Mail with Switch /EXCSERVERNAME=MSEXCLU01, I can see all
my storage groups and TDP for mail ask for the node password for MSEXCLU01
But when I start the backup it end up with error code "ANS1023E: Session
rejected: Node type mismatch" on node MSEXCH01_VSS
