Thank you Howard for your response. I submitted a PMR to IBM to get help. I
found out two things:

>From the 'q inclexcl' out put " Excl Directory C:\adsm.sys Operating System
.." This directory is excluded via the operating system by default. I guess
this is part of the defaults in the newer TSM client. Prior to sending in
the email to ADSM forum for help, I did check the dsm.opt as well as going
through the Baclient GUI under 'preference' to see if I can fix it from
there but nothing and yet it keep pointing to adsm.sys folder. Later to
find out it is not the exclude problem.

The dsmerror.log shows a failed 12 error everytime it hits this.
'C:\adsm.sys\EventLog\Microsoft-Windows-Forwarding/Operational.evt'
I found out the real hold up was the registry key. The solution IBM
support suggestion is to update the following in the registry from

 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog
\Microsoft-Windows-Forwarding/Operational]

  to

 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog
\Microsoft-Windows-Forwarding-Operational]

Now all is happy,.........Not a creature was stirring, not even a
mouse........ Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night

Thanks Howard,
Avy Wong

Either edit the dsm.opt file (or separate include/exclude list).
Or, edit the Client Options file associated with this client. Those are
the only two ways.

See Ya'
