I discovered that if a user changes Archive "Description" field to
whatever he/she likes and clicks "Archive" that would work. The data
is send and the custom Description is later visible in Retrieve
window. However, if the user tried to send more data to archive the
subsequent custom Descriptions will not be preserved, but replaced by
default "Archive Date: mm/dd/yy"

The only workaround I've found is to close and reopen the BA Client.
Then it would preserve the custom Description field one more time,
after which the client will need to be restarted again.

Anyone else observed this? Any workarounds?

This is on
WinXP 32bit
BA Client 5.5.2.2
Server 5.5.3
