NT 5.02 is Windows Server 2003, I believe. I don't see this problem on server
2003 with client 6.1.0.2, only on Windows XP after installing Microsoft patches
last week (with both the 6.1.0.2 and 6.1.2.0 clients).

It seems that one of the Microsoft patches installed a new Event Log with a
slash (/) in its name.

For Windows XP, IBM Tivoli support suggested that I change the name of the
event log, by
changing a Registry Key in

 HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog

namely

 Microsoft-Windows-Forwarding/Operational

to

 Microsoft-Windows-Forwarding-Operational

The error went away after that.
