Thanks again, but I don't think you can rename a device class with the rename 
command though.

3.48 RENAME commands

Use the RENAME commands to change the name of an existing object.



The following is a list of RENAME commands for Tivoli Storage Manager:
*  3.48.1, "RENAME ADMIN (Rename an administrator)"
*  3.48.2, "RENAME FILESPACE (Rename a client file space on the server)"
*  3.48.3, "RENAME NODE (Rename a node)"
*  3.48.4, "RENAME SCRIPT (Rename a Tivoli Storage Manager script)"
*  3.48.5, "RENAME SERVERGROUP (Rename a server group)"
*  3.48.6, "RENAME STGPOOL (Change the name of a storage pool)"
