Try checking the LANG and LC_ALL environment variables. If they are
something like en_US.UTF-8, then try changing them to en_US. See if that
makes a difference.

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.
"Good enough" is the enemy of excellence.

Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager"
I have TSM Client for Solaris 5.5.1 installed on 6 Solaris boxes
(Solaris 9
and 10). On two of the boxes (both Solaris 9), I can open the dsmj
client,
and choose restore, but when I click on the "File Level" icon, no
sub-files
or directories are displayed. Other Solaris 9 boxes work just fine, and
if
I use dsmj -virtualnode from one of those machines (and point
virtualnode
to one of the systems on which dsmj does not work), the subfolders show
up
as usual.
The dsm.error log shows these repeated errors:
12/03/08 11:28:09 -->>cdUcs2ToUtf8 converter does not exist!
12/03/08 11:28:09 -->>cdUcs2ToUtf8 converter does not exist!
12/03/08 11:28:09 -->>cdLocalToUcs converter does not exist!
12/03/08 11:28:09 -->>cdLocalToUcs converter does not exist!
This may be the first time we've tried the GUI interface since upgrading
to
5.5.1.
Has anyone seen this before, or have an idea what the problem might be?
Thanks
