Re: [ADSM-L] multiple dsmcad's on windows ?

You can create multiple DSMCAD services using the graphical tools in the
Windows client, or use DSMCUTIL to install the services. I would highly
recommend the dsmcutil over doing things manually, especially since you
have UNIX experience. You do need to create the dsm.opt files for each
separate service/node however.
Here's an example command line for dsmcutil:
dsmcutil install CAD /name:"TSM WEB Client <Nodeorservicename>"
/optfile:q:\tsm\dsm1.opt /node:<NODENAMEINTSM> /password:xxxxxx
/autostart:yes
dsmcutil install remoteagent /name:"TSM Client Agent
<Nodeorservicename>" /optfile:q:\tsm\dsm1.opt /node:<NODENAMEINTSM>
/password:xxxxxx /partnername:"WEB Client <Nodeorservicename>"
You need both, the CAD and remote agent for the web interface to work in
Windows.
Just make sure that, just as in AIX, or Linux, you specify a separate
port number for the CAD to listen to otherwise it just picks one at
random.
