Hi GOC,
This is probably more a UNIX question then a TSM question.
I can't tell for sure if this is working on all UNIX/Linux OS but I run
OpenSuSE 11 on my laptop and I can mount / (/dev/mapper/system-root) twice.
That mean I can backup my root with following filespace name /Christian/
instead of only /

Before you do a backup you need to run a pre-sched script that do a (in my
case) >mount /dev/mapper/system-root /Christian< and then do you backup
/Christian.

Best Regards
Christian Svensson

Ämne: consolidating nodes

hi, just a quick one...

how to consolidate 2 nodes into one ? meaning i have the exactly same path/data
for backup on both nodes, for example -->

host a:
/1
/2
/4/4

host b:
/1
/2
/4/4

i want to backup both on one node but be able to recognize the data with
q backup or q filespace

q filespace or q backup

/host a/1
/host a/2
/host a/4/4
/host b/1
/host b/2
/host b/4/4

i hope you understand me, thanks!
