Re: [ADSM-L] LAN-FREE backup from Win2k to LTO4

This will only affect you if your TSM server is still running Windows
2000. If you have important systems running w2k which are TSM clients
and you don't want to update them to a newer OS, IBM will still support
them using the TSM 5.3.6 client. TSM clients don't need to be able to
run the tape drive drivers.
If you have a w2k TSM server that you can't upgrade, then you are
probably limited to buying older tape drives that have w2k drivers if
you need to expand that system. If you need to expand your backup
environment, it might be a better long-term investment to buy a new
server and add the new tape drives to that new server.

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
As we know from readme for driver:
*****************
* General Items *
*****************
1) Support for Windows 2000 on new IBM Tape products has been
discontinued. LTO 3 and 3592-E05 are the last tape drives that will be
supported on this operating system.
we have a couple of important w2k servers and really bad idea performing
upgrade to w2k3...
I appreciate any help.
